Hydrometallurgy
Hydrometallurgy is the skill and knowledge of the extraction of metals via leaching of raw materials, concentrates or intermediates dissvolved in water. The next step is the precipitation process examplified by electrolysis in an aqueous solution.
Hydrometallurgy is used in the process of extracting metals from hazardous waste and industrial examples of hydrometallurgy in Norway include the production of Nickel and Zinc.
