Crushing, grinding and classification

Future Materials has crushing, grinding and classification equipment for various particle sizes ranging from cm to µm at its disposal. After the crushing and grinding process is complete the sample could go through equipment to split the material into the desired particle sizes and fractions.

Crushing and grinding of materials has several benefits and could be done to produce powders applicable for extrusion, molding or as additives to various mixtures. Powder products normally requires a certain particle size distribution and thus chrushers and grinders with the correct precision splitters could be used to achieve the correct particle size distribution.

Future Materials has extensive experience of crushing and grinding metals and minerals such as Quartz, Silicon (Si), Silicon Carbide (SiC), Graphite and different slags. Chrushing and grinding could be used to separate certain elements within a sample to extract a specific element from the material. The extraction of metal from slag via crushing and grinding with the intention of putting the material back into the main production process strengthens production economics and reduces slag to waste.

In addition to testing Future Materials could also support you with design, troubleshooting or optimising of our customers existing equipment.

Available equipment
