Coffee cup made of coffee grounds
More and more people are making use of reuse and sustainable materials in production.
Grethe Othilie Gullaksen makes coffee cups from clay mixed with coffee grounds.
Together with our partner Norner AS, we have tested the strength of the coffee ceramics in the project for Othilies Keramikk Brekkestø.
The tableware is tested at one of the restaurants of Hotell Norge in Lillesand. The guests are given a small piece of paper with information about the experiment. In return, Gullaksen receives coffee grounds from the hotel, which are turned into new cups and vessels.
