Functional test of snowshoe
The military in Canada is operating in demanding weather conditions with very low temperatures.
In this project we provided a functional test of snowshoes of different kind of materials.
We re-designed a climate chamber and placed a test jig inside, designed and constructed by us for this specific test to simulate and armed soldier walking with the snowshoe.
Snowshoes of different types of materials and design were then tested for more than 50,000 steps in a temperature of -57 ̊C.
